With the flu season around the corner, I’m sure everyone is panicking and getting influenza shots or at least contemplating getting one.
Let’s be honest last year’s flu season here in the US was quite scary for just about everyone. So I figured I’d jump on here and drop some little herbal secrets that can help out this time of year.
Burdock Root: This root is my houses favorite root/herb. Not only does it consist of 102 pure minerals that our bodies are made of and needs on a daily basis. It’s also great for fighting colds if drank as a tea and can also heal up certain skin concerns you may have.

Irish Moss: An amazing herb packed with a punch of vitamins and nutrients. You can find this herb often added to Asian dishes to add thickness to sauces. Best if picked raw.
Red Willow Bark: The natural place where Aspirin comes from. Red Willow Bark is full of iron, potassium, phosphate, calcium, and magnesium. Since Aspirin is derived from this herb, make sure your kids stay clear of it.
There are endless herbs like yellow dock root and other herbs like ginger and elderberry to fight infection, inflammation and are great for cleaning the blood of daily toxins. You can find these and more at your local grocery or natural food market.
What are your go-to winter and cold season medicines or herbs? Have you tried something new not seen here that’s really kicked butt during flu season? I’d love to know.
Here’s to no colds this season,
