Imagine you’re in bed falling to sleep and you wake up the next day feeling recharged and fully rested. Sounds pleasant doesn’t it?
There is something about reassuring yourself before bed that sets you for a good nights rest. Waking up feeling revived and recharged. What a great way to start the day! Right?
The phrase is often said “we believe 80% of what we say and 20% of what we hear”… so what are you saying to yourself? Ending the day with a word to your conscious is liberating and peaceful.
Bedtime affirmations
Every night I do my best to set the atmosphere for getting rest. Once I’m in bed I begin to clear my mind of any thoughts or stressors from earlier in the day. Then I pray. Afterwards, I begin to recite these 13 phrases below. What makes these affirmations beneficial is not only repeating the words, but actually visualizing what the words look like to you while drifting off to sleep. So try them:
1. I am calm and relaxed
2. I am grateful
3. I am at peace with my day, I did my best
4. I am proud of myself
5. I am happy for today’s opportunities and blessings
6. I am filled with light, life, and love
7. I am loved
8. I am safe
9. I have forgiven others
10. I let go of fear, uncertainty, and anger
11. I let go of anger and anxiety
12. I welcome my hopes, dreams, and desires
13. Tomorrow takes care of itself
