So you have been waiting for this day since you started school. It’s finally here, you’re graduating. Okurrr! All that hard work has paid off. You’ve got your cap, gown, and outfit ready to go. The only thing missing is how to do your curly natural hair.

Don’t panic, I’ve got eight natural curly hairstyles that you can wear right underneath your cap and still slay your graduation day.

The Chic Natural

The first look is a very basic tuck and roll underneath your hair, leaving the bangs slightly out in the front of your face for you to style.

The Classic Bun

Next is the ever famous sleek bun, it’s an easy go-to look for any occasion. Start by separating small sections of your hair and detangling from roots to ends, one section at a time. Next, apply your favorite moisturizer to that detangled section. Add your favorite gel to smooth and brush it all.

The Classic Side Ponytail

In this next look, we are creating an alternative to the look above. Use the same steps from the classic bun hairstyle above, and instead of a bun towards the back of your head slightly move the bun to the side, but not too close to your ears. Yup, that’s it!

The Basic Fro

This next look is very simple. It’s your typical curly afro. Since you are wearing it under your graduation hat, it’s best to secure it with a few bobby pins, so it doesn’t move on you.

The Side Undertuck

Use the same afro look in the previous post and create a tuck under your hair in the back of your head, and leave some hair loose on the side of your face. This will serve as the side of the undertuck.

The Space Puffs

Who doesn’t love space puffs or buns? Create two puffs on evenly on each side of your head. Use a few pins to secure the graduation hat, accessorize with a cute pair of earrings and go ahead and slay down the graduation aisle.

The Side Twist Ponytail

Take a section of hair in the front of your head and begin twisting towards your face. Secure your hair behind your ear with a bobby pin, this way the hat will fit snug behind your hair.

The Swoosh Ponytail

This last and final look is often called a swoosh. Take your bangs and create a sweep to the side, and end with whatever style ponytail.
